A torso is the easiest thing in this category to clean, because you can carry it to the water instead of carrying water to it. At 2–28 kg it fits in a shower tray or a large sink; a 42 kg full-size doll mostly cannot be moved at all. That single difference is a large part of why people buy torsos — see torso vs full body.
The cleaning itself is simple. What ruins torsos is not dirty technique, it is being put away while still damp. Read step five carefully.

Shower tray, bathtub, or a large sink. Compact torsos (2–6 kg) go in the sink easily; a 20 kg half body is easier on the floor of a shower with a removable head. Put a non-slip mat down — wet silicone is slippery.
Just water first. Get dust and powder off before introducing soap.
Diluted, applied by hand or soft cloth, gentle circular motion. Do not scrub. Pay attention to the areas that actually contact skin. Rinse thoroughly — leftover soapfilm makes the surface tacky and attracts dust.
Fill the irrigator with plain lukewarm water — or water with a very small amount of mild soap — and flush several times until what comes out is clear. Soap residue inside the channel is a common cause of irritation later, so rinse with clean water afterwards.
Never put soap, wipes or anything alcohol-based inside a TPE channel.
Pat the outside dry with a clean lint-free cloth — pat, do not rub. Then deal with the channel, which will not air-dry on its own in reasonable time:
Then leave it in open air for a couple of hours before it goes anywhere near a storage box. Every mold problem we have ever seen came from this step being skipped.
Once bone dry, apply a light, even coat of renewal powder with a soft brush or your hands. This restores the dry, smooth finish and keeps the surface from sticking to itself. Do not powder a damp surface — you get paste.

| What | Frequency |
|---|---|
| Channel | After every single use, without exception |
| Surface wash | Every 3–4 weeks, or whenever it feels tacky |
| Full powder refresh | When the surface stops feeling silky — roughly monthly |
| Deep check for mold, tears, flat spots | Monthly, while you have it out |
| TPE | Silicone | |
|---|---|---|
| Alcohol or alcoholic wipes | Never — degrades and cracks the surface | Safe for occasional surface wiping |
| Warm water | Safe | Safe |
| Hot water above ~50 °C | No — can deform | Tolerates higher temperatures |
| Mild soap | Safe | Safe |
| UV steriliser | Short exposure only | Safe, and effective |
| Oil-based lubricant | Never — breaks down TPE | Safe |
| Water-based lubricant | Safe, and the right choice | Safe |
| Dark fabric contact while damp | Stains permanently | Far more resistant |
All of our butt molds, leg molds and the majority of our half bodies are full silicone, which is the easier material to keep hygienic. If you want the low-maintenance option, that is the reason to pick silicone — the trade-offs are spelled out in TPE vs silicone.
We offer a UV steriliser with dryer and wash gun (~$8) as a silicone-body option. It does the two hardest parts of this job — sanitising without chemicals, and forcing air through the channel so it actually dries. If you clean often, it pays for itself in about a week of use.
All 43 torsos are in the half body catalogue with live pricing, and every one ships in a plain unmarked carton — see the discreet packaging guide. Damage on arrival is covered by our 3-month warranty.
Most of our 43 torsos are full silicone — easier to sanitise, easier to keep.
